After an undergraduate degree at Duke University, Dr. Friedman attended
medical school at the University of Arizona, in his hometown of Tucson.
He trained in Adult Psychiatry beginning in 1998 at the
University of Miami. He followed that by a Residency in Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU from 2001 to 2003, where he served as Chief
Resident. In 2010, he completed training in neuromodulation for
treatment of depression and other conditions with rTMS.
Professional positions in cross-cultural settings allowed Dr.
Friedman to work in Miami, in Washington Heights (Manhattan), on the
Navajo Indian Reservation and in New Zealand before settling in northern New
Jersey where he has been in private practice since 2005. He is Board
Certified in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry.
